I can’t say enough good things about this place. They’re knowledgable and have a great selection (thanks for fueling my IPA habit, guys). PLUS, they not only put up with my quirks, but seem to encourage them (I once turned up at the store carrying a giant fish-shaped pillow, logic being that I wanted to “swim” to the store through the rain– that’s the kind of stuff I do). This town makes me feel like I need to stifle my personality most of the time, but I can be my weird self in here, and that’s great.Amelia Glebocki –
In addition to being a wine shop, they also have an outstanding selection of craft beer. I’m a big fan of MI beer and Village has the most extensive local and statewide selection of craft beer I’ve seen anywhere. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and great at making suggestions.Brian V. – Yelp Reviewer
Village Wine Shop is two blocks from my house. While that alone is worth three stars, this shop has earned all five of theirs. They have a great selection of beer. While all of the local party stores do a good job stocking Michigan beers such as Atwater, Bells, Shorts and Founders, they also have some European brews that aren’t as easy to find. For instance, I can usually find a six of Polish beer whenever the mood hits. They also have a pretty extensive wine and liquor selection. And the staff is always happy to make a recommendation if you don’t know what you want. This place has a terrific neighborhood feel. Stop in. You won’t be disappointed.Jeff G. – Yelp Reviewer
1/3 Irish Whiskey, 2/3 Hot Coffee, Sugar, Cream.
Black coffee is poured into the mug. Whiskey and at least one level teaspoon of sugar is stirred in until fully dissolved. Thick cream is carefully poured over the back of a spoon initially held just above the surface of the coffee and gradually raised a little.
